Well we were told that this years Wizard World Chicago was going to be smaller and indeed it was! However, I can honestly (and full of pride) say that we were just as happy with the outcome then we have ever been. We did as well here as we did at the SDCC…who would have thunk!
I must give all thanks to our returning fans!!! We had more fans that stopped by our table ,that had bought our book last year, then we ever could have expected! Not to mention we were blessed with a whole slue of new faces…a lot approaching us with the line, “my buddy just bought a book from here and I was wondering if you had any more?” YES…YES we do!
As always, we had a really good time. We saw some really good costumes and met some cool new people. So to all of you who helped this years con go well…thank you!

I’m pretty sure Ive already proven, time and time again, that both Anthony and I have been bitten by the dork bug (hmmm, i need to add one of those to the book). Just to add to the evidence, on Friday night while walking back to the hotel, we past a group of rocks. Now to for most people, they would have kept on walking…oh no, not for us! Anthony and I found it necessarily to stop and dig through them for about an hour and a half!!! We didn’t get back to the hotel until 1am. Why Rocks, you say? There were two things to do at the hotel: 1. Watch tv  2. Stare at the wall. and our tv was fuzzy! So we wanted to play a few games of DAO to pass the time. All you need is 8 rocks (or whatever works) and a grid to play it on! Plus being the creative geniuses we are (our moms tell us so) we figured we could actually design a pimp board once we got home to play on. Anyway, laugh as you may…we accomplished what we wanted and passed the time searching for rocks and playing the game.

Now onto the real reason we go to Chicago! Sure the fans our great, and the money is good, the exposure is always needed and we have a fun time…but the pizza…the pizza is the real reason! Just ask Anthony and Brandi! They don’t shut up about it all year long! Im good for it one of the nights but geez, they could eat that cheesy slop every night we’re there! And that is pretty much what we did. I guess its not like we can get one of those bad boys around here so it’s really not so bad.

We wanted to say thanks to
Mike Boldt ( www.boldtmanstudios.com)
and also
DJ Welch (http://darkkenjie.deviantart.com)
We all went out to eat (at the stupid pizza place) and had a pretty good time. It was nice because it was the last night of the con so we were able to just hang out without stressing about our “to-do” lists. Afterwords we grabbed some drinks and chatted up a storm! Both of these guys are super talented and were a pleasure to hang out with. You have to check out their stuff!

Ok to wrap it up, we had a great time! We sold out of Cabbalu Tales the second day of the con and Berona’s War 1: Field Guide by Sunday. Thanks again to everyone who made this happen!
