I mentioned before in my Seattle post Anthony and I attended a Seattle Sketch Bomb! I have been to several Drink & Draws but this was my first Sketch Bomb. I can also say that as far as group sketching, this group had about as many high caliber artists as one can ask for. Dj Welsh, Mike Henry, Sean “Cheeks” Galloway, Ryan Hall, Junior Bruce, Hai-Na-Nu and many more!
We arrived a little late (we were having drinks with Mike!) and had to pick up in the middle of the theme that was almost over…Wizard of OZ. I was really getting into it when they finished and changed themes.
The Next theme was Asian (amine’) Demons.  We actually had to look it up on Anthony’s cell to see what it was. As if it weren’t enough to be surrounded by such great artists, now we have to sketch something we aren’t familiar with! I was happy enough with mine by the time we were done with that theme.
Then we hit the last theme of the night, Assassin Animals (whoever came up with that topic was a genius). The opportunities were endless! After I picked the theme, we all started sketching! You better believe people were doing some amazing work! Hippo Snipers, Ninja serpents, barbarian Ferrets and SWAT team pandas. There was some sweeeet characters! One of which stuck in my head so much that the next day I actually asked the artist if I could buy it from him. Mike Henry drew an assassin giraffe. It looked awesome! He was happy that someone liked it as much as I did so he just gave it to me. I now have it on my wall in my office…thanks Mike.
Anthony did a pretty sweet character as well too. I was going to post it but I couldnt get it in time. So maybe one day down the line Anthony will put it up for one of his posts! If you and your friends enjoy drawing, I suggest one of you host a Sketch Bomb, you’ll love it!
Till next time…
