You did the thing! Now let’s make sure it heals great…
All you need is for your piercing aftercare is sterile saline wound wash and a good warm shower soak.
Congratulations on your new piercing! We appreciate your trust in letting us adorn your body with some new jewelry. We'd like to make sure you give it the best aftercare so it looks it heals beautifully. We’ve gathered all of our best instruction here to help you have the best healing.
Basic Piercing Aftercare
Regular Cleaning
Using Sterile Saline wound washing spray jewelry once in the morning and once at night.
Let the saline sit on the jewelry for several minutes before drying the area.
To dry the area, you can use a piece of gauze or a blow dyer on the lowest setting. You do not want any moisture left in the area.
During Shower
After doing your normal shower routine. Allow the warm water to run on the jewelry for several minutes. This will flush any soaps or debris that is left on the jewelry. This also helps minimize swelling.
When done showering, make sure to dry the area (as stated above).
Do’s
Use Sterile Saline wound wash (.09% sodium Chloride).
Wash hands and check jewelry daily to make sure end is threaded on tightly. If jewelry is threadless, make sure top is still a snug fit.
Get a travel pillow for ear piercings. This can help cushion around the ear, by placing your ear in the opening.
Come in for a downsize/2-month checkup! Once the swelling goes down the jewelry will start to poke out and can cause you to catch it and tear the tissue. This also allows us to make sure everything is healing properly.
Don’ts
Do not twist, pull, move jewelry or pick at crusties. This can cause trauma to the area which may even prevent the piercing from healing.
Do not use anything that your piercer didn't recommend (no matter what the internet tells you). This means:
no contact lens solution
no alcohol
no peroxide
no Antibiotics ointments (Neosporin, ETC.) If recommended by doctor please follow medical advice.
No harsh antibacterial soaps (dial soap, etc)
no bactine first aid spray
no pierced ear care solution or any other products containing Benzalkonium chloride (BZK)
Do not submerge your piercing for the first 3 months (this can vary depending on the piercing you received); no baths, pools, hot tubs, lakes, oceans, etc.
Do not lay on piercing until post is shortened. This can prevent it from healing or heal wonky. If shortened and its still sore to lay on it. Wait longer.
Do not allow hairspray or make up to fall onto the jewelry. The jewelry can become sticky. This will begin to harbor bacteria and cause healing issues.
Tips
Some bleeding, localized swelling, tenderness, or bruising is normal. During healing: some itching, secretion of a whiteish yellow fluid (not pus) that will form some crust on the jewelry. The tissue may tighten around the jewelry as it heals.
A piercing may seem healed before the healing process is complete. This is because tissue heals from the outside in, and although it feels fine, the interior remains fragile.
Any time jewelry is removed, no matter how the piercing is, you take a chance of the hole shrinking or completely closing. It is not ideal to leave jewelry out unless absolutely necessary.
Make sure bedding and clothes are washed and changed regularly.

into the toilet, preventing contamination in your surroundings.

You should wait a minimum of 3 months for intercourse. However, if you do decide not to wait these are my recommendations:Use Barriers such as condoms, dental dams.
Use clean, disposable barriers on sex toys.
Use a water-based lubricant.
Rinse after any sexual interaction.
Most importantly IF IT HURTS STOP.
