Lately, I’m really honing in on the types of tattoos I’ll be accepting, as well as the subject matter. If your initial idea or concept is a bit far from what I’m looking to tattoo, that doesn’t mean I will reject your idea. I’m always happy to consult with my clients to steer them either towards a tattoo concept that fits my desired style, or direct them to an artist whose work better aligns with your idea. But - if you want a Scotty B tattoo that sparks my interest AND one you can proudly show off, here’s some ideas and styles to get your wheels turning:

STYLES I PREFER:
• Full color neo-traditional (Here’s an Instagram page with some stellar examples from artists around the world)
• American traditional (Think “old school” sailor style)
• Black & gray neo-realism (Portraits, animals, foliage, etc)


SUBJECTS I’D LOVE TO DO:
• Sharks, of course! (Most sea life is cool, too)
• Iconic film/tv characters
• Art-nouveau frames and floral
• Nostalgia/retro subjects and properties (He-man, TMNT, Nintendo, Ghostbusters, etc.)
• Pretty, colorful flowers
• Horror-related imagery
• Anything that makes me laugh!
